THE YORKSHIRE GREY BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS – UPDATED AUGUST 2019
1.Bookings are not considered ‘Confirmed’ until agreed security deposit is received.
2.All bookings will have agreed Minimum spend or Hire fee set. If a function fails to reach the agreed minimum spend the security deposit will be used to make up the difference. For example, if a function with a £500 minimum spend (£200 deposit) only achieves £400 sales, £100 of the deposit will be retained and £100 returned to the guest.
3. Exclusive hire of the Main bar Monday - Saturday & Function room bookings on Saturday require a SIA qualified security staff to be present on site. A hire fee of £45 inc Vat will be added to your bill to cover this cost.
4.Provisional bookings are held for a maximum of 7 days. If another client who is interested in a date that is already provisionally booked approaches us we will contact the booking to advise them they have 24 hours to firm up the booking or the date will become open for others.
5.Bookings can be cancelled with no penalty 6 months in advance.
A percentage of the booking deposit will be returned at the following rates:
+ 6 Months - 100% refund
6-4 Months - 75% refund
4-3 Months - 50% refund
Less than 3 months - No refund
6.All bookings will have agreed start and finish time, unless authorized by manager no access will be granted until the stated ‘organizer arrival time” and all guests must be out of the room by the “Event finish time”. Failure to vacate the room by the agreed time will resort in a £100 hire fee charge.
7.Pre-ordered food and drinks must be requested a minimum of 7 days in advance, any later and we will not be able to guarantee availability. Please note we can only accept pre orders for private events. In the event of the venue being closed to the public the kitchen will not operate.
8.Only food and drink sold at The Yorkshire Grey can be consumed on the premises. If corkage agreed (for weddings / christenings) the following charges apply: Champagne & Sparking wine -£25 per bottle, Still Wine -£15. Any evidence of guests bringing in their own alcohol will result in asking them to leave the function, and in serious cases the function can be closed.
9.Only decorations authorized by the management will be allowed, no tape or blu-tac will be used on any wallpaper and under no circumstances will table glitter be used. Any damage or extra cleaning costs required will be the responsibility of the event organiser.
10.We are in a residential area, we are required to monitor sound levels to ensure that our neighbors are not disturbed. If Performers / DJs play over the set sound level dB they will not be allowed to play for the remainder of the event and only MP3 will be allowed with sound levels controlled by management.
Please note NO noise created should be heard within any neighboring home at any point, playlists in the function room are for background music - we are not a disco.
11.We operate a challenge 25 policy – Photographic ID will be required for customers aged 18-25.
12.The function organizer will be responsible for any damage to furniture or property done by their guests.
13.All external PA / DJ equipment must be P.A.T. tested within the last 12 months.
14.Serving alcohol to “intoxicated” guests is Illegal, any guest we deem too drunk to be served will be asked to leave the premises.
15.Illegal drugs are not permitted on the premises, anyone suspected of taking or possessing drugs will be evicted from the building immediately, the police will be called and in worst case scenarios the function will be closed and deposit redeemed by the business.
